A caffè and deli in the middle of Sheffield.

Caffè Tucci calls itself a Neapolitan caffè and deli. The Surrey Street shop sits between the Winter Garden and Tudor Square, a couple of minutes from the Crucible and the Lyceum.

People come for the counter: sandwiches big enough that reviewers box half to take home, focaccia, tiramisu and cannoli, and a range of Italian pastries. Julia Gregersten calls it “a real generous selection of authentic Italian options”. Reviewers also order sandwiches by name: the Posillipo, the Museo, the Vesuvio.

There’s a second Caffè Tucci at 655 Ecclesall Road. This one is in the city centre.

“Staff were so friendly, helpful and gave me a feeling like I was back in Italy visiting my father.”

Componi il panino

Build your panino before you reach the till.

Reviewers build their own here, choosing the toppings they like. Stack one from what they mention, then read it out at the till or phone it through for kerbside pickup.

  • “What a lovely visit- staff are so friendly and the food was amazing. They have a real generous selection of authentic Italian options and the focaccia is just incredible. Build your own sandwiches so you can choose whichever toppings you like. Maria gave us some brilliant recommendations.”
